General

All your solariums are marked 'TYPE 3', what does that mean?

'Type 3' is a classification that distinguishes solariums that comply with strict Swiss protection and performance parameters. In practice, it certifies that the device operates with a focus on safety, efficacy and skin protection.

Who can use Blue Light solariums?

18+ only. You have to identify yourself with an ID on Blue Pay, if you register you will use the StudioControl app to log in by showing your personal QR Code.

Should I book the cabin?

No, access is free: choose on Blue Pay the free booth you prefer after logging in with the document or QR code.

How long does an average session last?

It depends on the cabin and your phototype: consult external tables or use Skin Control for a customised calculation.

Can I bring someone with me?

The cabins are individual; for safety reasons only one person is allowed in at a time. Exceptions granted by calling first with the Blue Phone.

Are the two locations (Cassarate and Paradiso) identical?

No: the technical equipment varies slightly; some solariums are only present in one location. The Prestige 1100 and 1600 as well as the Pilot are present in both centres.

What is the Skin Control tool?

A device with a sensor that analyses the skin and prints out the recommended minutes of exposure: you will find it in the main hallway of every centre.


Hygiene

Should I disinfect the cot?

Yes: spray, wait 30s, then dry; repeat after the session.

How often do you clean the cabins?

Daily deep sanitisation; floors treated several times a day.

Can I use oils or creams?

Avoid greasy products: they ruin plexiglass; if indispensable, use the film provided.

Are sprays allowed?

Only spraying on the hand, never in the air.

Can I eat in the cabin?

No, to keep surfaces clean.


Payments & Recharges

Methods of payment?

Cash (1-2-5 CHF), Blue Card, cards, TWINT via Blue Pay.

Is Blue Pay registration mandatory?

No, but simplify access and activate the possibility of loading your blue account with attractive bonuses.

How do I get the Blue Card?

It is purchased at BLUE CHANGE by pressing the BLUE CARD button and inserting a 10 CHF note or 5/2/1 CHF coins.

Do I charge the Blue Card with a card?

Yes, directly in Blue Pay; or cash in Blue Change.

Can I mix Blue Card and cash?

No, but you can pay with the card and digital payment systems, but only when there is no amount on the card for the chosen session.

What happens to the remaining credit?

It is carried over to the next session; it does not lapse.


Contraindications

Photosensitising drugs?

Read the package insert: if photosensitivity is indicated, avoid exposure or reduce the minutes.

Pregnancy?

Always consult your doctor; if there are no contraindications, use a short time.

Should I protect my eyes?

It is good to wear goggles, which can be found in the Blue Shop, in solariums that have high-pressure lamps on the face, in sun showers, those with dark eyes can do without them.

Under 18?

The new law in force in Switzerland from 2020 prohibits the use of solariums by minors.


Security

Is it safe to tan every day?

No: excess UV can damage the skin; respect the minimum break of 48h indicated in the exposure programmes.

Are the lamps checked?

Yes: electronic system keeps UV emission constant and the booths are TYPE 3 certified.

What to do if I feel burning or discomfort?

Stop the session and call us now with the free Blue Phone (+41 91 972 18 14).

Can I exceed the recommended minutes?

Not recommended: deficiency like excess UV is harmful; follow Skin Control tickets or tables.

Is it compulsory to use goggles?

It is not compulsory but advisable. Goggles are available in the Blue Shop.

What happens if I suspend for 3 weeks?

You have to start from the initial exposure programme.

Where are the emergency exits?

Cassarate: 2 side doors - Paradiso: 1 front door.
The doors from the inside can always be opened even if there is a power failure by operating the handles.

Is the site under video surveillance?

Yes, CCTV cameras monitor the corridors and payment area 24 hours a day; footage is stored according to Swiss privacy regulations.

What happens if the alarm goes off?

The fire/burglar alarm system immediately warns us that the alarm has gone off; if the siren goes off, please leave the centre as soon as possible.

In the event of a blackout, am I stuck in the cabin?

No: the doors can always be opened manually from the inside and the emergency lighting is activated immediately.

What is the Blue Screen?

Touch display with solarium info, prices, news, promos and 'Health' section.

How does the 'Skin Control' tool work?

With the SkinControl you can have your skin analysed free of charge within seconds and the device prints out a ticket with the recommended exposure times for each cabin. Do not use on hairy parts so as not to distort the measurement.

  1. Place the sensor on the top of the wrist and press the SET button.
  2. Place the sensor on the bottom of the wrist and press the SET button.
  3. Position the sensor just below the bend of the elbow and press the SET button.

In 3 seconds you receive the ticket with phototype and recommended minutes for each cabin.

For the first sessions, we recommend following the exposure times indicated on the outside of each booth.

What number does the Blue Phone have?

What is Blue Mail?

Letterbox for non-urgent suggestions or communication.

Make-up/makeup area?

Mirror and cleansers in the toilets; avoid applying make-up in the cabin.

What can I find in the Blue Shop?

Protective goggles, snacks, drinks and useful pre/post-session items.
