First session in 5 steps: choose the right cabin and tan safely
Practical guide for those entering a Blue Light solarium for the first time: from phototype to after-treatment.
The debut at the tanning salon can raise doubts: how many minutes to set up? which booth to choose? which products to use? In five clear steps you will discover how to turn your first session into a safe, effective and relaxing experience.
Step 1 - Discover your phototype with Skin Control
Perform the 3 measurements indicated: within seconds you receive a ticket with your phototype (I-VI) and the recommended minutes for each booth.
Step 2 - Choose the cabin you like best
Step 3 - Set the minutes (less is more)
Minimum seat 10 CHF. For the first exposure remains at 70 % of the maximum time suggested by the ticket. You will be able to increase this gradually on subsequent visits.
Step 4 - Protect your eyes and skin
Protective goggles, no opaque make-up. Avoid oily creams: they may dull the plexiglass.
Step 5 - Post-sunbathing: moisturise and take a 48-hour break
Drink at least 500 ml of water within an hour, apply a soothing lotion with aloe and let 48 h pass before the second session.
By following these five steps, the first session becomes a safe test to gauge your skin's response. Already by the second visit you can modulate minutes and booth according to the tan achieved.
Before choosing your solarium and the time of your session, do a check with the Skin Control.
